There is a saying – “ If you truly love nature, you’ll find beauty everywhere “. And what better way to capture this beauty using your camera. I find it fantastic to capture wildlife, birds and beautiful beach and landscapes with my camera.
When I was looking for a camera, there were three reasons for choosing the Nikon P1000, I currently have. I have a KIS (Keep It Simple) approach to many things in my life, including my choice for the Nikon P1000.
· I want to be able to carry it with me without becoming a burden. I don’t want a camera with various lenses and gadgets which I have to carry all over.
· I want a Super Zoom as I want to be able to bring wildlife and birds close without compromising on quality.
· It must produce quality pictures and be easy to use.
The Nikon P1000 met all my requirements. The one aspect with which I am very happy is the zoom capabilities. It has a lens capable of 24mm to 3000mm (125 x optical zoom) and you will see this feature being used in many of my photos.
For me the Nikon P1000 was an upgrade from the Nikon P900 I had. The P900 is a wonderful camera. The only reason for me to upgrade is the magnificent zoom capabilities of the P1000, going from 2000mm (P900 83x optical zoom) to 3000mm (P1000 125x optical zoom).
